The Commission, through Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro, categorically dismissed the claim in a press statement. The authority clarified that Chawama Constituency has 111 gazetted polling stations, including two at Mutason Shopping Centre along Lilayi Road operating from tents. These are official, legally established polling stations, published in the Government Gazette.
The Commission further expressed concern that the allegation was circulated publicly without verification, warning that such claims risk causing unnecessary alarm, confusion, and mistrust among voters.
